Has the British Wildman finally been seen on film? It would seem one researcher in Northumberland has captured on film a strange figure that was concealed in the woods walking away from him in 2019. After spotting the strange, dark coloured figure in the video back at home JC went back to the area and took a comparison shot and video that shows no anomaly or natural protuberance that could have been mistaken for whatever or whoever was seen quickly walking away from him. JC explained that he didn’t see the figure on the day and if it had been a hiker or a visitor to the forest there should be apparent clothing on show. The figure captured in the video is all one colour and quite broad across the chest and shoulders.

I have included a clip along with two still images provided by JC. One is taken from the video and the second was taken on a return trip for confirmation and comparison purposes and shows no stump, object or anomaly that could be mistaken for the figure captured on film.

He has been researching the UK Wildman since his own encounter with one in Hamsterly forest in 1998. On that trip he saw a large hair covered figured man-like creature walking away from him. He has also had nights where he has been chased from the woodland by an unseen figure, he has been pelted with stones and has heard all manner of strange screams and howls.

JC has been visiting the area for over a decade and has studied that woodland as the seasons have changed. He will put out game cameras and make regular filming trips to the location. On that day he did not realise just how close he came to a Dark Figure that was walking away from him. He went back on this visit after he captured a face on camera on an earlier visit. The face seems to show an Ape or Ancient Human looking figure.

I think the stance and gait of the animal is very reminiscent of the Leaping Creature captured on camera in Russia around the same time. The NE of England has several other reports stretching far back into history with the last on being in Autumn 2023
