Dr Kate Cherrell is a writer and public speaker specialising in popular séance and paranormal history. Her academic interests include 19th century gothic, periodical culture and female mediumship. She writes commercially on supernatural history and her debut novel is due to be published in May 2025. She co-hosts the weekly esoteric discussion podcast, Loopholes, and has blogged as ‘Burials and Beyond’ since 2017.
As a paranormal historian, she has co-hosted Haunted Homecoming (2022) and Unexplained: Caught on Camera (2023).
